Les Regards de Genève

The project presents a selection of 52 manhole covers in the historic centre of Geneva in pictures and short stories.  The “portrait” page depicts each cover and what is underneath; the “landscape” page describes the surroundings. Geneva’s underground networks and its cast-iron covers have witnessed the city’s growth since the middle of the 19th century.
